Awful is the wicked heart of the wicked

Blood flows down the streets

Catastrophe has fallen on people

Dreadful is their fate

Every house is destroyed

Every family is broken

God promised He would do this

Holy is His name

I am worn out with weeping

Just broken in spirit

Knowing not what

Knowing not how

Never again will I laugh

Never again will I dance

Please comfort me, Lord

Quieten my spirit

Remind me of Your Grace

Save Your people from despair

Tell them Your love is not withered

Comfort them You are still here

Vent Your anger on their destroyers

Will we be again

Exalt Your name

Yield to Your will — Zealous for Your reputation
