O Great God!
You are a God of unwavering faithfulness! The Old Covenant You established was a shadow of the New Covenant to come, and the subsequent New Covenant is the fulfillment of the Old. We see that the sin offerings under the Law could not take away the sins of those who wilfully sinned. But the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, offered Himself once for all, removing the sins of all who take refuge in Him, and making those who are sanctified perfect forever. How blessed we are, who have received Christ’s redemption! May we each guard the souls that have already been cleansed, neither acting presumptuously nor stumbling in ignorance. Christ gave His life for us; what He accomplished brings glory to God. May our thoughts and actions also bring glory to God! A new week, a new renewal; a new renewal, a new motivation. May all that is past be merely the prologue. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
