What one has never possessed
One does not know the pain of losing
Job’s suffering was because he once possessed
To endure in pain what has been taken by force is good
To rejoice in pain what has been willingly surrendered is even better
How can one who has never possessed
Persuade others not to possess
The poor widow gave her last two coins
Mary poured out all the ointment she owned
They had
So they could give
To relieve a neighbour’s pain
One must first have “the love” to love
Then give
The “Way” is to
“Love your neighbour as yourself”
“Faith” does not arise from one’s own deeds
But from the deeds of another
