Childhood pains carved in the child’s heart,
unaware of tomorrow
Parental love,
yet unable to love more
As the saying goes: “Idle youth, needy age!”
The young press on,
discipline their bodies,
making tomorrow today’s hope
Parent raising children,
parent’s duty
The diligent father works tirelessly, from sunrise to sunset
The wise mother cares tenderly day and night
Toiling all day, so children have plenty,
yet losing touch with their growth
Wine becomes a companion
Wine lifts the spirit
Worries fade
Yet, tomorrow remains unchanged
Those who befriend wine
turn wife and children into strangers
A wife as companion, children as friends—
These are the treasures of old age
Old age is not counted in years
but wisdom crowned upon time
A joyful heart is good medicine
A sorrowful spirit dries up the bones
Whom can you go to
Who can comfort you
Come to the Lord Jesus,
Who is the fountain of joy, making love never cease.
