Daily Prompt

What are your biggest challenges?

The greatest challenge in my life has always been how to walk before God and be blameless.

Abraham, who is named as the Father of Faith because of his faith in the LORD, was not blameless.  He lied about his relationship with his wife Sarai in fear of being killed by Pharaoh, and he took his wife’s maid Hagar to bed and gave birth to Ishmael.  The LORD appeared to Abraham and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless.” (Genesis 17:1).

The Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ tells us to be perfect, as our Heavenly Father is perfect (Matthew 5:48).

Challenges are not meant for scaring people.  Challenges are meant for perfecting people at any point of time.  Taking challenges positively can drive people upward and forward; if taken negatively, they make people fall.

God’s creation of this world was perfect, but sin turned perfection into failure.  In this world, no one is any more perfect nor blameless, by birth and by deeds.  Walking before God with no blame is a challenge, and for me is the greatest one of all.

Because of God’s love and grace, I am blessed in Christ, and everything concerning me concerns Christ.  Whether on a good day or bad, whether well fed or hungry, or whether living in plenty or in want, I thrive through Christ who gives me strength.

Upon the entering of a new year, or upon opening a new chapter of life, I rejoice greatly in the Lord as in Him I am being renewed inwardly day by day.

《Sweet Potato Sage》 ~ ✨

Fireworks bloom year after year,

New Year’s greetings, same old cheer.

We send away the passing time,

Yet cannot send our cares aside.

Eat well, then dress in fine array,

Chasing things that lead astray—

Round and round in vain display.

Day by day in toil we race,

Eyes fixed on earth, not heaven’s grace.

Look up—let not your heart be tied,

And send your earthly worries wide.
