Great God,
The heavens declare Your glory, and the firmament proclaims Your mighty works; day after day they pour forth Your speech, and night after night they reveal Your knowledge. God, Your law is perfect. Your statutes are trustworthy. Your decrees are righteous. Teach us to know Your law, Your precepts and Your decrees, for Your law sustains all things, Your precepts revive the soul, and Your decrees give wisdom to the simple.
God, make us thirst to seek You, for seeking You is more precious than gold and sweeter than honey. May the thoughts of our hearts, the words of our mouths, and all that we do be in Christ, for Christ is all and in all.
God, You have shown us the way of life; having Christ, we have life. May we live before You, gaining Your favour. On this first day of 2026, we ask You, God, to continue guiding our days that we may lift our eyes to see far, walk further on the path of grace, and experience more of Your steadfast love.
We delight to draw near to You, for Your presence renews us like the morning light and Your anointing oil keeps us ever fresh. You shine upon the earth — may every living being be held in Your remembrance. We thank You, God, who loves and blesses us! We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
