Heavenly Father, God on high,
Your only begotten Son, Christ, Himself came to earth to do Your work and fulfill Your will. Your will is that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance. On the cross, Christ accomplished God’s will, transferring all who truly confess and repent into the kingdom of His beloved Son. We, sinners saved by grace, must no longer wander in sin, trampling upon God’s redeeming grace. We pray that You, O God, would lift up the saved from being justified by grace to being sanctified by grace—loving righteousness, delighting in good works, bearing abundant fruit, and living out the likeness of Christ. We also ask that You keep and lead us to walk the heavenly path with spirit and truth—the new way Christ has opened for sinners. If the saved should still fall into sin, grant us hearts that confess and amend, fully submitted and humble, to be built up by You. May we, in Your building, be willing to be taught, hold fast to the truth, maintain purity, rejoice in the Lord’s work, live in peace with others, lead people to the Lord, and find favour in Your sight. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
