Daily Prompt

Think back on your most memorable road trip.

About two thousand years ago, an Israelite man named Saul, one of the Pharisees, was engaged in persecuting the Lord Jesus Christ’s disciples from Judea to Damascus.  Upon the Lord’s appearance before him, his life took a u-turn from persecuting to embracing the gospel, and from destroying to building Christian.  Saul renamed himself as Paul and embarked on his 30-ish years of road trips farther to Europe to be the Lord’s witness and to build churches.

Nine years ago, I travelled to Israel to see what I should see and to feel what I should feel.  Two years later, I took on two other road trips to Greece and to Turkey, to see more I should see and to feel more I should feel.  Those road trips are the most memorable ones of mine.  The Bible is a written testament, but my road trips made me see clearer and feel closer to my heart the testimonies of the Lord’s apostles and disciples.

The impact and message of the Lord Jesus Christ continue to resonate and thrive through the ongoing work of individuals and the church.  Paul and other apostles made their mark.  Their legacy will continue to shine through passage of time and from land to land.

There will be thousands more of road trips to follow the missionary work.  Locally or abroad, I will continue to do my part.
