What is your favorite animal?
God created, among other creatures, beasts on the sixth day and gave them every green plant for food (Genesis 1:24&30). Man ruled over all creatures, and all creatures coexisted in harmony.
After the Flood, God blessed Noah and his sons to be fruitful and increase in number. God allowed the fear and dread of man to fall upon all animals including the beasts of the earth and gave them to man for food (Genesis 9:1-3).
Since then, inedible animals have become edible, and then through the passage of time and biological evolution, some wild animals have become domesticated animals.
Many people regard dogs as their best friends for their loyalty, endurance and unwavering trust in their owners. Dogs are widely used in many fields, such as shepherd dogs on the farm, patrolling dogs in the street and drugs tracking dogs at borders, etc.
There are dogs as house guards or pets and the latter are the most popular among this generation across the five continents.
In the city I live, it is commonplace for young couples to keep pet dogs as their children in place of bearing their own children. Such trends are for various reasons, among which a strong sense of distrust of the future is phenomenal.
I once had a German Shepherd dog and I loved her for everything she was. She was the most loyal friend of mine, and my loyalty to her was buried together with her. From her, I learned more about loyalty and humbleness.
All animals were created with a purpose. They were all “good” in the eye of God (Genesis 1:31). Sin brought curse to the earth and all creatures including humans are subject to the curse (Genesis 3:1-19). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has come to break the curse by offering salvation to those who believe in Him (John 3:16).
Believers are hopeful of a new heaven and a new earth where all animals will coexist in harmony again, perhaps even better than the time in the Eden Garden. I am so much hopeful to witness the wolf and the lamb feeding together, the lion eating straw like the ox, and dust being the serpent’s food (Isaiah 65:25).

“Knowing One’s Place” ~ ✨
Humans love dogs
Because loyalty is their hallmark
Some treat dogs as their very life,
Others keep them as slaves
Whether as life or as slave
Dogs see clearly their own place
But for humans
They know not where they stand

Matthew 23:11-12
“The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”
