Daily Prompt

If you could un-invent something, what would it be?

Every person exists for a purpose, and everything is created or invented with a purpose, too.

God created the first man and the first woman for a purpose, which is for them to rule all creatures on the land and in the sea, and to increase the human race in number (Genesis 1:26-28).

When God saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time, God regretted that he had made human beings on the earth.  God wiped from the face of the earth the human race He had created (Genesis 6:5-7), since God could not un-invent them, and since God could not change the history.

Creation or invention, if done in good faith, is to make life better for all kinds of lives.  Today’s question is a question to point to the invented things, but I would rather like to point to the wicked thoughts of the inventors and of the users.

In criminal law, a person commits a crime when his men’s rea aligns with his actus reus.  In the eye of God, a person’s men’s rea of adultery has already been judged as sinful (Matthew 5:28).

From God’s creation of the heavens and the earth, to the destructive Flood in Noah’s time (where all living creatures except those kept in the ark were killed), and from Noah’s descendants to now, Satan (the devil) still exists so people have not stopped sinning.

If I were to imagine what to un-invent, it would have been to create the first man and woman incapable of bearing wicked thoughts.
