What’s your dream job?
When I was a kid, I dreamed of my dream jobs, just like many other kids did. Mine included three, namely, a doctor to save life, a police officer to maintain law and order, or a judge to uphold justice.
I had teens’ fantasies, too, just like many other teens had. I was drawn by romantic stories into flying a rocket to the sky and to live there with my lover, or building houses to form a village like a heaven on the earth.
Thanks and praise be to God for allowing one of the dream jobs to come true upon me, and for guiding me through to my retirement.
I am now a volunteer mentor helping school kids to develop and pursue their dream jobs, and a volunteer chaplain bringing hopes to those hopeless patients. I am also a writer hoping to serve as a vessel to channel thoughts inspired by the Holy Spirit.
My life career was my own choice, and with God’s blessing I closed the chapter with satisfied testimonies. My volunteer jobs were chosen under the spiritual guidance. Career job or volunteer, I serve Christ in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Roman 14:17-18).
As I am looking back, I am more into the truth recorded in the Bible — Proverb 16:33 “The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.”
Not everyone can turn their dream jobs into reality jobs. I have seen many men whose dream jobs failed to crystallise ended in a scrambled and crumbled life. I just hope that those people who do not live on their dream jobs give their reality jobs a chance to embrace them with the peace and joy that their dream jobs might not give them.

“Small is the Boss” ✨
Your desire precedes your success
Do not waste your time on unwanted wants
All big things start with a small thing
Big talent is for big use
Big talent starts from small
A successful boxer starts with the training sacks
Chasing dreams in your dream is like boxing in the air, bringing you to nowhere
All successes proceed with a difficult start
The first obstacle to overcome is yourself
Proverb 16:3
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”
