What would you do if you won the lottery?
Lottery wins and lottery losses, year after year, and generation to generation, people love money. As the saying goes, “Money talks”.
Perhaps, in the minds of all, money does make the mare go. Money itself is not sinful, but it is the ways of pursuing and using money subject to question.
The majority of lottery buyers take buying lottery as buying a hope—a hope that they cannot realise without money. There are others considering it as an investment, though it is an investment by luck not by hardwoods.
Money has two sides, it can enrich livelihood, but it can also break life. The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). How many stories have we heard about broken marriages or torn families at the aftermath of winning a big lottery?
Gambling in all forms is addictive, and is apt to turning control into uncontrollable. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul (Matthew 16:26)?
For a family of three or more, a married couple, or a single individual , a contented mind is a perpetual feast.

Matthew 6:25-33
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life ? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
