Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus,

As I come before You this morning, I am reminded of the words You spoke to us: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”  Yet among us, there are still those who drift with the current of the world.  Though they know, they do not act; though they regret after going astray, they do not repent.  The foolish remain foolish, and those who think themselves wise are even more foolish.  The world says, “Without integrity, one cannot stand,” and this aligns with what we believe.  Yet sadly, in many believers, there is still a lack of integrity and honesty that can withstand testing.

May we not be those who seek only good food, fine clothes, and luxurious dwellings, but rather, may we ask the Lord for the true bread that gives life, the robe of righteousness that covers us, and the eternal dwelling of paradise.  Lord, please break every bondage that still holds us, strip away all that is not of You, so that we may live in true freedom, radiating the colour, fragrance, and taste of liberty, drawing others to You.

Lord, just as the Heavenly Father does not delight in burnt offerings, You desire the sacrifice of a sincere and honest heart.  You, as the Lamb of God, offered Yourself; may we also offer ourselves as living sacrifices, becoming people who please God on earth.  Lead the churches in every place, Lord—to be united in truth, steadfast in work, complete in sanctification, and glorifying God forever and ever!

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray.  Amen!
