The world loves inventions, one after another one non-stop. Inventions have two sides. Whilst they improve livelihoods on the earth, they could also destroy lives.
The world hates one and only one ‘invention’, that is the ‘invention’ (creation) of born-again life through faith in Jesus Christ. The world hates Jesus because He testifies that what it does is evil (John 7:7).
There is only a few people who do not use the new invention of Internet, but there is a majority of people who do not accept Jesus (John 5:43). The worldly people chase after worldly things—the things that satisfy the flesh.
God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). People see the creation and live in it but deny their Creator. Under the heavens and on the earth God created, the created human beings invented Internet, and all creatures live with it and are proud of it. This is the classic example of “PRIDE”, where the created consider themselves wiser and greater than their Creator. Scripture promotes a lowly spirit and humility as the way to receive honour and wisdom. Arrogance prevents individuals from seeking God.
To me, the greatest and most important creation/invention is the gospel, which extends the lives of all believers into eternity. I am one of those believers seeking God and am living humbly under His creation and command.
