Roads like tigers’ mouths—

Man’s path, a wilderness way.

Let every road be clear,

A bright lamp guides the way.

Dewfall quenches thirst in drought,

Manna sustains each day.

Whether man’s path or wilderness road,

I long for a smooth, open plain.
