Beloved God,
I give thanks to You with all my heart and praise You before all people. I will praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and faithfulness, for You have magnified Your word above all Your name. Though You are exalted on high, You still regard the lowly. Whenever I call, You answer; whatever I ask, You grant. O God, You formed my inmost being; You covered me in my mother’s womb. All the days of my life, I desire to serve You and to honour You as holy and great. May all that I do under Your shelter be pleasing in Your sight, and may You extend Your grace to those I love and cherish.
The old year has passed, and the new year has arrived; year after year, from ages past to ages yet to come. In the days ordained by You, may I walk humbly and obediently before Your eyes, ever renewed by Your presence. May all nations and peoples honour Your name as holy and great, longing for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done on earth. May the praises of heaven and earth ascend to You, for You are worthy of praise forevermore. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen!
