“To Be In A League Of One’s Own” ~ ✨

No flower blooms for a hundred days.

No friendship lasts a thousand ways.

A flower past its bloom is but a guise.

A friend too long kept is one who plays.

Life, if too short, is bittersweet,

But if not short, then bitter days.

A life of sweetness, long and deep,

Though sweet and long, at last decays.

Some say it’s not the length that stays,

But moments cherished, held in praise.

I say it’s not the holding phase,

But once being “friends” in simple ways.

Micah 6:8

“O people, the Lord has told you what is good.  What He requires of you is this: to do what is just, to love mercy,

and to walk humbly with your God.”
