Dear Heavenly Father,
What gift in all the world could be better than the gift of salvation You have given? None, indeed there is none. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for giving us the very best! You have given us to Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, calling all who believe in Him to pass from death into His eternal kingdom. We who have received grace and salvation are granted the right to become children of God, and are now being built up by God in Christ, to take on the image and heart of the Beloved. In Christ, we lack nothing, and the peace we receive is not what the world can give. Today, like David of old, we have the Lord as our Shepherd, making us lie down in green pastures, leading us beside quiet waters, and preparing a table before us in the presence of our enemies. We ask Heavenly Father to guard our awakened souls, to lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake and for the sake of Your beloved Son, so that though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil, for Your rod and Your staff, they comfort and uphold us. Help us, Heavenly Father, to be faithful in all things and righteous in every matter, so that even our enemies may approve of our God and turn in repentance to Him. We will dwell in the house of the Lord, singing praises to God day and night, forever and ever. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
