You’re writing your autobiography. What’s your opening sentence?
Though I won’t write my autobiography, to answer today’s prompt, the opening sentence for my autobiography would be “Thanks, praise and glory be to God the Almighty forever and ever!”
In God, I have a life; outwith God, there is no real life. I have a lifetime to walk on the Way, to live in the Truth, and to embrace the Life. In Jesus, I have a real life; in Christ, I am being built up to the likeness of Him.
I am walking with God, heading home in heaven where the Lord Jesus Christ has prepared a place for me. The Lord has given me an identity as God’s children through faith in Him. With God’s love and grace, I am living a fruit-bearing life, aiming at winning the Crown of Life; the Crown of Glory (James 1:12; 1 Peter 5:4; Rev. 2:10).
May the gifts and assistance of the Holy Spirit be granted to God’s faithful servants. May those in Christ Jesus aim at the same holy destination!
