Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
We thank You for gathering people together with Your love, declaring righteous all who repent and confess their sins through the righteousness You accomplished on the cross. You willingly offered Yourself as the Lamb of God, dying in place of sinners, completing the atoning sacrifice so that believers may be reconciled with God. We believe in You, Lord Jesus, and we see Your sacrifice as a testimony to God’s holiness, righteousness and love. God loves the world, yet His love cannot override His righteousness. Therefore, Lord, You came to the cross to bear witness to the truth that God’s love and righteousness must coexist.
Now that we have received grace and salvation and been given the authority to become children of God, we too ought to live in the coexistence of love and righteousness, testifying that Jesus Christ paid the price for us out of love and righteousness. Lord, we ask You to keep us in the new creation, constantly purifying ourselves, upholding integrity, doing what is good out of love and righteousness, and bearing much fruit.
We also ask that Your power covers us so that we are no longer slaves to sin but models of faith. Lord, relying on You, we can face challenges and difficulties with faith and strength; through You, we can do all things. If any among the body still have transgressions, we ask You to discipline them and stir them to repentance. Draw near to those who are brokenhearted because of their sins, and save those who are crushed in spirit.
May God show mercy and grace, enabling the repentant to demonstrate their repentance through their actions, so that their hearts may no longer be troubled. We thank You for hearing our prayer. In Your name we pray, Amen!
