Prayer

Dear Abba, Father,

As day after day goes by, I find myself counting, one by one, the grace You have bestowed upon me.  Father, I thank You!  May all who, through Christ, have received the authority to become Your children, learn to give thanks to You!  What is man that You are mindful of him?  What am I that You care for me?  Whenever I count the blessings of God, I also count what I have done for Christ the Lord.  What have we, who have received the gift of salvation so freely, truly done for the Lord?  The Lord is the glory of those who are saved—are we, the saved, also the glory of the Lord?  Abba, Father, what is in me that I should receive such love from You?  Without Your lovingkindness and mercy, what am I?  Among believers, some say it doesn’t matter if they don’t understand themselves, because God understands them.  Yet I seek to understand myself through the eyes of the Father, because in knowing myself in this way, I come to know more of Your will for me, to obey You, and to walk in Your service.  I pray to grow daily in the Lord’s grace and knowledge, because as my inner self is renewed day by day, I can better proclaim the Gospel that saves the world—the Gospel that has saved me.  To live is grace, and the joy of living in the Spirit is an even greater grace.  I desire to live in the joy of Abba, Father, for this is the best gift You give me.  Thank You for giving me to the Lord Jesus Christ, unveiling the true meaning of life—to glorify God.  God has given the Gospel to save all who believe, and in love, He builds us up.  I was but grass, broken by the wind, yet God saved me and now, in Christ, has made me new, a testimony to God’s majesty and power.  I am grateful to be built up by God in Christ, to shine as light in the darkness, bearing witness that Christ is the glory of God. May this prayer be heard by God.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
