What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?
The first thing I do in every morning is to pray and meditate on God’s words. In my meditation, I review the lessons learned yesterday and the changes that I made.
Obeying Christ’s law is a life-transforming process. Christ’s law is the law of love which covers over all wrongs (Proverbs 10:12; 1 Peter 4:8)—turning anger into empathy, hatred into forgiveness, and the wicked into repentance. In love, I grow, and in empathising and forgiving others, I bring them to Christ.
I do not ask for equality, if equality means reciprocity. Jesus gave His life to redeem us wanting us to live in eternity. Touched by His sacrificial love, we bear witness to the world that Jesus is Christ, the Son of the living God, and the glory of God.
Muzzling the tongue with a bridle (James 1:26) is difficult, releasing the heart entirely to Christ (Proverbs 3:5-6) is more difficult. If the heart is right, the tongue will flow rightly. If a redeemed person tastes the taste of God’s love and grace, the person will naturally follow Christ’s law, which is to love any person the way He loves us. Love is the source of life, and God is love (1 John 4:8).
I LOVE—
Live happily;
Obeying Christ’s law;
Venture into new things; and
Emulate His love.
