Daily Prompt

How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

An embryo begins in a woman’s womb and then grows into an individual being at birth, journeying through life until death.  How to live one’s life is a matter of choice influenced by personal attributes, such as beliefs, knowledge and wisdom, as well as by environmental factors, both controllable and uncontrollable.  Very often, environmental conditions overpower all other attributes that a person possesses.

The COVID-19 pandemic swept across the globe and impacted billions of lives, of whom millions were killed.  Those who survived the attack may suffer from post-recovery symptoms, such as loss of taste or memory, loss of employment, and depression.

Nevertheless, there are those who welcomed living and working in a completely digital world: those who enjoyed solitude, cheering others to join them; parents working from home, able to combine work with looking after their children; and school kids who did not like to go to school, applauding the chance to play video games more often.  The lifestyles of individuals, families, and communities have gone through a revolutionary change worldwide.

Apart from disruption to the global order in lifestyles and business practices, what else did the COVID-19 pandemic bring to the world?

COVID-19 is a soul-awakening call to the lost, from healing to deliverance, and from deliverance to transformation into a new life in the Lord Jesus Christ.   The Lord says, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.  I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”  The Bible tells the world that there is not one righteous person, and all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Mark 2:17; Romans 3:23).

A healthy man does not need a doctor, but billions of those who contracted COVID-19 died due to lack of a cure.  A righteous person does not need the Saviour Jesus, but none is righteous; however, they refuse to accept Jesus to save them from eternal death.

One of my mentees found that one thing good about the pandemic was that she was drawn closer to her mother emotionally.  Those young people who always stayed out late were drawn closer to their families under the home-bound order enforced during the pandemic.

“Neighbours as Strangers” ~ ✨

Social distancing, friends grow apart

Family under lockdown, sweeten the heart

When times are good, people see the world

When times are hard, the world sees each soul

Once you had a home you’d rather not stay

Now in this pandemic, at home you stay

Social distancing, neighbours turn to strangers

Family ties, now strangers become kin again

The pandemic brings nothing good, it’s true—but nothing’s better than calling loved ones back to you.

“Wise or Foolish” ~ ✨

COVID-19;

Enemy of every one

Sin—the friend of foolishness

Fight against Coronavirus;

Efforts of every one

Removal of sin—only Jesus can

The foolish—wise to foolishness

The justified—foolishness to the world

Foolish or wise—the choice of God

I am to the world—foolish not wise

No to the world and yes to the gospel—I am so aspired

Justification by faith in Jesus Christ—pleasing is to God!
