If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?
Dreams have a magical power to drive and shape a person’s life, but to make a dream come true, the dreamer must take action—the action of turning that dream into reality.
Doctors, police officers, teachers, and the like are dream jobs for many people. They perform in the real world according to their beliefs, character, and code of ethics. All professionals have a role to play: doctors save lives, police officers fight crime, and teachers educate others. The character of each role is not created by a story writer or a filmmaker, but is a real, living character.
While paying tribute to the contributions of book writers, the film industry, and actors, we must remember that the performance stage is not the real world, and fictional characters are not the true personalities of the actors. An actor proclaims fame by acting in perfect likeness to a film character. However, playing fictional characters for a long time may cause one to lose their sense of self and become detached from the real world.
Living in the real world, indeed every single life has a real story to tell and a real role to play. Losing oneself is the worst play to play. God, for His own glory, has put the born‑again lives on display and made us a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to human beings (1 Corinthians 4:9). Though we are being built in Christ by God, we are unique—just as inborn fingerprints are unique to each individual person.
God is the sovereign and supreme story writer and film director. My life in Christ is abundant and eternal. I do not need, nor do I want, to play a character in a man‑made story or film.

The Drama of Life~✨
Why do I sigh within my heart?
This world was not my choice to join.
Against my will, yet here I came,
To which home I fell was destiny’s design.
..
You say Christ is the way out,
But this way is not for everyone.
Why does God choose? On what ground?
Justification by faith is the answer found.
…
Without faith, none can please God,
Repentance is the hope of salvation’s nod.
This world is but a stage, it seems,
Play follows play, following the script’s themes.
….
The script’s performance is mine to give,
Doing my duty, my conscience to live.
Thunderous applause from heaven descends,
Play complete, praises to God’s glory ascend.

1 Corinthians 4:9
“For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like those condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to human beings.”
