Daily Prompt

What’s the most fun way to exercise?

There is a famous Chinese proverb that encourages people to share their wealth, time, and energy with others: “Saving one life is more meritorious than building a seven-tier pagoda.”

Exercising the God-given gift of helping to relieve others from suffering and hardship—building up the life of a vulnerable child, for instance—is “the most fun way to exercise.”  Turning that exercise into a daily habit is the most satisfying thing to do.

Exercising the heart is equally important and wonderful as exercising the body.  Spirit, soul, and body are united in one person—all in one, and one in the one and only Christ.  Therefore, when we can pray earnestly to God, we pray; when we can think sensibly, we think; when we can walk steadily, we walk.  In life, under the mercy of God, we can do everything.  But everything we do, we must do for the glory of God.

The most fun way for me to exercise includes morning prayer and meditation (the spiritual exercise), the sharing of love and grace (the soul exercise), and the practice of Tai Chi (the body exercise)—three in one, one in Christ.

Romans 8:28

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
