Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
You are the Lord of life. In You is life, and that life is the light of men. Living in this dark world, the Word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. I have met the Lord and walk with You. Though the road is rugged and the seas roar, hope and peace guide me forward. In the light, I see that truth prevails over the shifting tides of the world; faith overcomes every great trial. I carry the peace that guards my heart and the wisdom that clears my eyes, so that I may walk through storms without fear. Wisdom shows me that raging waves and thorn-filled paths are but fuel for refined gold; peace is the garment of my complete sanctification. Lord, under Your protection, though troubles abound, so do solutions; though weaknesses abound, so does grace. If I boast, I will boast of God’s faithfulness as my lifelong reliance and my eternal safeguard. My heart rejoices in the Lord, my spirit delights in the Lord. Apart from the Lord, I have no other treasure; apart from the Lord, I seek nothing else, for Christ the Lord is all, and is in all. I pray that You continue to guard my heart, that I may remain always in You, and You in me. In this crooked and perverse generation, may all who belong to Christ, under Your command, put on the full armour of God, stand firm in holiness, righteousness, and truth, raise the banner of peace, and press forward. Grant us strength, Lord, to proclaim the love of Christ and to protect hearts and lungs through action. May You turn all fearful hearts towards You, the God of peace. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
