LIFE—PURPOSE—GOSPEL

LIFE—

“Life · Living” ✨

Life is not living, nor living is life.

A life without living—yet no life lived.

Life does not belong to oneself,

But living is a choice of one’s own.

Brocade robes, woven with hidden snares.

When passion’s play ends, we sigh at the void.

To strive, to yield—both hard indeed.

A pure heart attained brings joy to God.

A striving life may leave its mark in history.

The pure and still are written in sacred scrolls.

Before the curtain falls, to strive or yield—

It is for you and me alone to choose.

…….

PURPOSE—

“Play” ✨

Why does my heart let out a sigh?  This world was not my will to find.

Yet here I am, forced to comply, whose house I fall to—thus assigned.

You say that Christ can be the way, but not for all that path is laid.

Why would God’s chosen go astray?  By faith we’re justified, He said.

Without faith, none can please His grace.

Repentance holds redemption’s key.

The world is but a stage, a space—

We play our parts as scripted see.

So do my duty, give my best.

Then close the play, and God be blessed.

…….

GOSPEL—

“Repentance” ✨

Before You, lying low, I sang my sigh:

“Why won’t You hear me when I cry?”

Then came the voice: what pleases God on high—

Not sacrifice, but a truthful heart nearby.

The broken in spirit may draw close and rest;

The wounded and contrite find saving grace.

I begged You daily—I did my best—

But counting days could never take sin’s place.

The spirit’s grief, the heart’s true turn—

That is the weight, the only cost.

Clean and abstain, for You I yearn.

The fool is proud, the wise is lost.

Lord, wash my spirit, make it whole,

Illumine the road where my faltering steps trod.

I leave behind the ritual, choose the truthful soul—

Reborn, triumphant, I praise my God.

…….

Matthew 5:8

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
