Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving me and for choosing and building me up in Christ. Without You, the few decades of life on earth would be utterly meaningless. You are a holy, righteous, and gracious, compassionate God. I ask that You guard me with Your holiness and righteousness, grant me knowledge and the wisdom to use it, so that I can always be humble before You and, before others, testify to Your perfect completeness—You, the Almighty whom all people should look to and rely upon.
Who among us has no suffering? You turn bitterness into sweetness. Who among us has no resentment? You lift away our grievances. Who among us has no worries? You lighten our anxious hearts. Who among us is without sin? You gave Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to wash away our sins. O God, without You, all that seems beautiful is actually ugly; with You, all that seems hopeless and lacking becomes full of hope and abundance. You are trustworthy, reliable, and worthy of following.
May Your children resemble You, treating others with faith, hope, and love. And may the eternal hope, peace, and joy of those who belong to Christ make others long for Christ, pursue the crown of life, and share in the eternal home of the Father. I thank You, God, for standing each day in this vast grace and hope, and I strive each day to live out the likeness of Christ. May my efforts, together with the efforts of Your children, cause the glorious radiance of the grace of our loving God to shine across the earth. May God’s salvation be hallowed, and may His name be praised forever!
