How do you balance work and home life?
Balancing work and home life supposedly relies on setting clear boundaries, sticking to a structured schedule, and prioritising quality over quantity. This seems logical, but indeed it loses the taste of living.
All things work out in their own way and exist cohesively by nature. The law of nature outweighs man-made boundaries—whether physical, psychological, or biological. Treating your personal time with a fixed schedule can do nothing but add unnecessary stress to day-to-day life.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, work-life balance has not been restored. The work-from-home contingency measure has become an unhealthy routine. Under this new work culture, there is no longer any “on/off duty” concept, and thus no work-life balance.
In my career years, I enjoyed no work-life balance due to the nature of my profession. Today, I enjoy every moment, following inspiration rather than the clock to work and live. I find that peace in the heart and strength in the muscles form the best equilibrium for all kinds and all things. Who makes me feel peaceful? The Lord Jesus does—the peace He gives me, which the world cannot give (John 14:27).
Who can give you true peace in the heart?
