Great God,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. From everlasting to everlasting, You are God—the one and only true God! With Your own hands You made man in Your image; though he is made a little lower than the angels, You regard him not as a serving spirit, but as a child of Your own household. Born of man, You are my God; reborn of Your Spirit, You are my everlasting Abba Father—I thank You! You call me with love and bind up this wounded lamb, and with the precious blood of Your beloved Son Jesus Christ, You wash away my sins, so that I may come before Your throne of grace, pour out my heart, and offer my thanks. Abba Father, You love me, watch over me, guard my heart from temptation, and deliver me from evil. Who is like You? Apart from You, who could love me so deeply, cherish me so tenderly? God does not remember the transgressions of the repentant; I have received grace and forgiveness. God does not tempt anyone; each one is tempted when, by their own evil desire, they are dragged away and enticed. You tell me, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, because having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life.” Therefore, I pray: guard my heart, Lord, that I may overcome every temptation; strengthen my spirit, that I may surmount every obstacle. Even when I fall into various trials, let me have great joy. For I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. May I become a masterpiece in Your hands, a spark of light in Your glory. As I journey as a stranger in this world, may the radiance of Your glorious grace be shown in me, a saved one, so that all people may give glory to the true God who loves them. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen!
