Daily Prompt

Who do you spend the most time with?

The triune God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

God talks to me through Scripture, and I speak to Him through prayer—every morning, every night, and in every moment of need.  Having close communion with God strengthens my faith against the flesh.

In addition to God, I also spend a great deal of time with the viewers of my blog, sharing my gospel messages, poems, and prayers.  I hope that more people look to God for guidance and providence, for He is the source of wisdom, knowledge, and every strength we need in life.

Some years ago, an eighty-year-old church leader from the United States visited our church and left an everlasting message: “You should always talk to God and not watch TV, for it could tempt your heart away from the Lord.”  This respectable church leader travelled thousands of miles to pay his last visit to the city where he had once served.  He died of cancer four months later, but his legacy continues to inspire other believers.

I shall never forget this brother in Christ for his steadfast dedication to the Lord.  No doubt he lived to bear witness to the Lord, ending his life on earth beautifully.  His success lay in having close communion with the Lord.

I, too, enjoy spending the most time with the Lord of life—Jesus Christ—through whom I commune with the triune God, living an abundant and peaceful life forever and ever.

What about you?  Would you like to venture out on the journey of faith in Jesus Christ?
