What is your favorite season of year? Why?
It has to be autumn. I believe it is also the favourite season of many people, but for different reasons. In my previous prompt sharing about cold weather, dated 20 May 2026, I revealed my soft spot for the crisp cold of autumn.
Autumn draws me back to many good memories, beginning from my childhood—a white cardigan my mom bought me as part of my school uniform to wear in the fall. It was thin and soft like a feather on my arms, yet it filled me with a sense of warmth in my heart. Though I was only six years old, I could already appreciate the love I received from her. Growing up in a loving family, I saw the image of Jesus Christ in my mom, and I learned to be loving and kind to my siblings and others. That childhood memory—especially the white cardigan—has stayed with me ever since, and my love for autumn has never changed.
In autumn, I delight in the air, the scenery, the scents, and many fond memories—including my baptism, which also took place in autumn. That was a great milestone for me, moving my life forward with greater faith, hope, and love in Christ (1 Corinthians 13:12-13).
While I feel a special closeness to autumn for these reasons, I stand in reverent awe of God’s blessings of all four seasons, and His promise: “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22).
