Daily Prompt

What are you passionate about?

I am all about building a loving relation-ship with others — lordship, discipleship, fellowship, kinship, friendship, and mentorship.

First — Lordship. I stand in reverent awe of God’s creation and every word that comes from God’s mouth (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 4:4).

Second — Discipleship. To be the Lord Jesus Christ’s loyal and faithful servant (Matthew 16:24; 10:38).

Third — Fellowship. To love one another so that people will know we are the Lord’s disciples (John 13:34-35; Ephesians 4:2-3).

Loving God requires loving my siblings (1 John 4:20). So loving my family bears witness that God is love (1 John 4:7-8). In Kinship, loving and respecting parents is God’s commandment (Exodus 20:12; Colossians 3:20), and loving siblings helps establish unity in the family (Psalm 133:1).

As God is love, and Jesus Christ treats His disciples as friends, I model the Lord in building Friendship with others and loving them as myself (John 15:13). I may not love friends the way Jesus loves me, but loving others delights my heart like perfume that makes the heart glad — and I share the friendship that breeds mutual, earnest counsel.

Last but not least, it is to love your neighbour as yourself (Matthew 22:39). I engage in Mentorship, sparing no time in nurturing and helping the weak, building in them the strength of character and knowledge necessary to achieve their goals in life.

As outlined above, I hope that I stand the test as the Lord’s loyal and faithful disciple — the one the Lord loves. God blesses my life so that I may bless others. I hope you have a blessed life, too.
