Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus Christ,

We so often come to You asking for full tables, fine clothes, and fair faces. But Lord, teach us to see what lasts—to treasure the hidden over the seen. Draw us into the innermost place, not leave us lingering at the gate. Our bodies are just tents—worn by weather, frayed by years. Our hearts change too—but let them change towards You: new every morning, and every morning more like Yours.

You walked this dust as the Son of Man, and You showed us what a human fully alive looks like. May we not fail that vision. In whatever days remain, make us humbler and wider-hearted; more honest and more honourable; richer in kindness; and heavier with fruit. Give us wisdom when we search for it, and when we turn from folly, nail that door shut behind us. And let Your followers shine like stars scattered across the night—not to steal the gaze, but to lift it towards the One who never fades.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
