O God,
You are vast beyond all telling, great beyond all naming — and Your love? It is an ocean without shore, a depth without bottom, a mystery that will not be contained.
Jesus Christ — the hidden heart of God, now open before us. Who can read the signature of Your love? Who can fathom the brightness of Your justice? And who would dare to believe that You, the High and Holy One, would seal a covenant with blood — Your own Son’s blood — and bow to death for sinners?
I believe. But O my God — with what shall I welcome Him? With what shall I answer such love? What is man, that You remember him? What am I, that You should set Your heart on me? Now Your salvation has reached us, let it shine through us. Let our lives be living letters of Your love, and let Your righteousness clothe us as the garment we never lay aside. While we walk this dust, keep us low and teachable, rooted in Christ alone, with none but You as holy.
And Your Church — let her be built by no hand but Yours. Let her children bring no hollow boast of love, but true hearts, living truth, guarding justice, bearing the ripe fruit of righteousness — and offering it all as a gift laid at Your feet, not for wages, but for love’s own sake. For You gave freely. Christ died freely. May we serve freely, not shaped by this world, but gentle where the world is harsh, humble where the world demands its due.
Let all who are in Christ be made new — soul and bone and breath — truly citizens of heaven, truly Yours, reverent and radiant with love for You.
This is my prayer, this is my song — in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord, my Love, my All.
Amen!
