My Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
Why me? You say love. So You died. And now I love, not because I’m good, but because You won’t let me go. I know God loves the world. I read it. Now I feel it, written on my heart.
You loved me. You taught me love covers everything. You died for sinners. So I know—God is love. You gave Your life. So I know—sacrifice is love. You humbled Yourself. So I know—obedience is love. You were gentle. So I want to be gentle too. You made peace with God for me. So I know—peacemakers are God’s children.
Your love is not like the world’s. Your peace—the world cannot give it. The world loves, then hates. Lord, I could be tempted, but you keep me in you.
Lord, please strengthen me. Keep me from hatred. Keep me from keeping score. Keep me from pride. Thank You—I am full in Your love. And You send me to share it. To be loved, and to love, it’s all God’s grace, God’s glory. Always.
