O God, who truly loves this world,
You are so kind, so tender, so quick to show mercy. Every time I come near Your throne of grace, the weight I carry somehow feels lighter—because I know You see, You care, You hold it all. Lately, the world has felt so broken: viruses sweeping through, the ground shaking, fires raging, waters rising—and fear is everywhere. People don’t know where to turn.
Lord, I know deep down that so much of this pain comes back to us—to our own turning away from You. But even to Israel, Your chosen ones, You whispered: “I know the plans I have for you—plans for peace, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” That same word is for us too.
Father, I see it—these disasters are meant to wake us up, to call us back. But oh, the suffering is so real. The kind that makes people wish they hadn’t woken up at all. Have mercy on us. We are so fragile—like grass that bends in the wind. How could we ever stand against the power of heaven and earth?
Please, let my eyes see only mercy in You—not wrath, not judgement. Let me see blessing, not curse. Let me see the God who is slow to anger and rich in love. From the very beginning, You spoke and it was. You said it and it stood. Because You simply are.
May all these shaking, burning, flooding signs stir our hearts—not to fear, but to humility. May we turn from what is wrong, return to what is right, and learn to live each day with reverence and simplicity.
And for those who belong to You—may we stay faithful to the very end. May we love sincerely, live honestly, and let our lives speak louder than words—showing that You are real, You are here, and You are still good.
This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
