Daily Prompt

What’s something you used to worry about but don’t anymore?

I used to worry about losing control of life—losing the ability to do everything to perfection. So I held the highest expectations of myself, and of others.

As I have matured over the years, I have come to realise that true perfection lies in learning to accept imperfection—for life’s brevity makes perfection a wasteful anxiety.

That said, as a Christian, I still hold myself closely to Scripture’s call to a life of holy distinction, purity, and righteousness. I may not be perfected, but I seek to walk perfectly—not in fear of falling, but in the quiet confidence of being held.

For God created the heavens and the earth for mankind to steward—and therefore to enjoy, not to dread. So I rest in Him, from beginning to end, as this poem reflects. May you too find your rest in the Almighty’s mercy.

✨The Alpha and Omega✨

The winds and clouds may be foretold, yet none can stem their might;

Good luck or ill may be divined, but who can steer their flight?

The power of nature—vast and fierce, both awesome and profound—

Man in the cosmos’ boundless sea is but a grain of ground.

Six days of creation—time weaves swift as shuttles through the loom;

All that we chase in this brief life fades ere the evening gloom.

Who holds the storm, the fate, the hour?

None but the One—the sole in power—

The Alpha and Omega, crowned.
