Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for watching over us throughout the past week. May we grow in knowledge and patience through life’s experiences, becoming people who are pleasing to You here on earth. Grant us, Father, a serene heart to accept the things we cannot change, courage to change the things we can, wisdom to discern the difference between the two, and strength to abide in you. Teach us to do good without stinginess or reckless striving, but only to test and approve what is Your good, pleasing, and perfect will. Your will is that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance and salvation. So we pray without fear, Father, that all our earthly family members may be received by You and become our family in heaven as well. May the work we do for You on earth cause those we walk alongside to feel less lonely, those we care for to feel warmth, and those we help to truly feel the warmth of love and Your mercy—warming their hearts and minds, awakening them to see that God is love, and that the Gospel You have given has already saved so many who believe. We also pray that You would protect Your children who labour faithfully in Your work, continuing to grant them health, wisdom, and strength to proclaim Jesus Christ and bear witness that He is the Lord of life, the only One who grants eternal life. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for hearing our prayer. In the name of Your firstborn Son, Jesus Christ. Amen!
