Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
You came into the world as the Son of Man for thirty-three years — the great work You accomplished, who could ever count it all? Today, Your disciples on earth have only a few short decades — how could we boast of what we have done? I know that You do not measure by more or less, by heavy or light. You look only at the honest heart — one that is determined, resolved, and striving to do all for You — and You are pleased. May Christians of my generation, and those of the younger generation, always lift their eyes to You, honour You as holy, put You first, obey Your commands, and press forward with perseverance. May all believers not cling to the good of the past, nor be entangled by the bad of the past, but holding fast to faith, hope, and love, run straight towards the goal. Lord, when I am in need, You keep me from want; when I am weary, You let me rest on green pastures and beside still waters; when I fall into low valleys, Your presence with me keeps me from being alone. I lean on Your rod and Your staff, which constantly comfort, strengthen, and guide me. God has shown me that salvation is not about improving life’s circumstances; a servant is not greater than his master; and who can have everything go their way? Salvation frees us from being slaves to sin, to humbly and obediently enjoy the Lord’s victory. May all who sincerely serve the Lord always have grace, loving-kindness, and peace as their companions. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
