Prayer

God who loves the world,

From ancient times until now, You have shown Your lovingkindness and grace to the world. But how many are truly turned to You in heart, truly departing from sin and the world? Among the billions today who call themselves Christians, how many are truly people who belong to Christ? Blessed are those who can be attuned to You and walk according to the Way of God. May sincere believers all live in this blessing, enjoy God’s protection, and be built up in Christ by God into complete people. May those who respond with loyalty, faithfulness, and careful observance personally experience God’s protection and guidance in trials. In the past, during Israel’s forty years in the wilderness, every day they had the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire to protect, guide, and sustain them. Today we have the indwelling Holy Spirit as our guard and the gracious Lord Jesus as our mediator; we are even more blessed than God’s people of old. May we live under the sign of grace, not forget God’s love, not fear when troubles come, not give up when discouraged, always be watchful, pray earnestly, look to the gracious Lord, and press forward as He opens the way. And may we all regard trials as materials for building, which will accomplish for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. Thank You, God, for hearing our prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
