God who loves us,
You truly show no partiality! You have opened a new and living way—it is God who comes to seek them. Those who respond with their spirit and in truth are saved; all who are saved receive life, and life more abundantly. May God add grace upon grace, granting eyes that see through all things, ears that listen, a repentant soul, knees that bow low, and hands that purify themselves. Otherwise, we remain in the old creation, wallowing in sin. Our Savior, we ask that You not only cleanse our spirits but also wash our bodies, so that we may be made new before the world and proclaim through our lives that we belong to Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. When cancer patients undergo whole-person chemotherapy, old cells die and new cells are self-generated within the body—but this is not a permanent guarantee, nor a surety of eternal life. We who are born of the Spirit of God: the old self dies, and we receive the authority to enter into Christ’s new creation. May each person in this new creation gradually grow into the stature of Christ, imitating Him to become beloved children and heirs pleasing to God. Our bodies, hair, and skin come from our parents; rebirth and salvation come from God. May we remember our parents’ grace and kindness, and all the more keep the way of rebirth. Under this vast grace, may we speak through our lives and worship God through our daily living. May all people see Jesus Christ in us and feel His loving-kindness. God, You are the one and only God! May Your many children all please You—doing justice, loving mercy, walking humbly with You day by day, and sleeping peacefully in Your embrace night by night. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
